Congressional Federal Credit Union DC Scholarship Program
Congressional Federal will award four $1,500 scholarships to graduating high school seniors from the following DC Area schools based on their community service, recommendation letter, essay question and academic standing:
- Anacostia High School
- Dunbar High School
- Phelps Architecture, Construction and Engineering High School
- School Without Walls High School
Scholarship recipients must be from: Anacostia High School, Dunbar High School, School Without Walls High School or Phelps Architecture, Construction and Engineering High School. Scholarship recipients must have been accepted at an accredited college, university, technical or trade school. Winners are selected based on their community service, recommendation letter, grade-point average (2.5 or higher) and how well they answer the essay question.
Application submission period is March 1 - June 1, 2025. | Competition results will be announced by June 16, 2025.
How to submit your scholarship package online:
Option 1: Securely upload the following items to submit you scholarship package:
- A completed scholarship application.
- A one- to two-page typed essay on the selected topic: tbd.
- A copy of an acceptance letter from an accredited college, university, technical or trade school.
- A copy of your high school community service hours log/transcript.
- A copy of your most recent grades/transcript. Scholarship recipients will be required to follow up with an official sealed copy of their schools transcript.
- A signed reference letter from a teacher, guidance, counselor, community leader, or non-family member.
